Charlotte Clean and Green 2009: An Earth Day Celebration was a tremendous success! It was a gorgeous spring day on Saturday, April 18 and thousands came out to the Central Campus of CPCC to be inspired to play, live and save green!
Festival attendees took advantage of the many free workshops and presentations, strolled among the green vendors and exhibits, checked out the smart cars and hybrids, shopped the farmers market and enjoyed some delicious food! Kids participated in some great hands‐on learning activities while their parents learned more about composting and organic gardening.

Be it Resolved! April 22 is Earth Day in Meck. County
Charlotte Clean and Green's Publicity Chair, Bill Gupton, attended the County Commissioners meeting on April 21 to accept the Mecklenburg County proclamation for April 22 as Earth Day.
